This place totally sucks. Took my girlfriend here for our 3 year anniversary because I got catfished by the Google Photos and it may have been the worst decision I have ever made.We got the queso and chips which was this re-heated, disgusting, movie theater-type nacho cheese. Then, when we got the loaded fries to replace the queso, they not only gave us nachos but the nachos had this squishy and totally nasty ground beef. Not even gonna talk about the blackened salmon as it was perhaps the worst thing that has ever entered the temple of my body. Dude, with every step on that wretched deck I was petrified I would fall and become a gator's next meal. Do not come here. Beware. Only redeeming quality is the view, but like how could you mess that up? Shout out Kaydence. - 6/26/2025

Hesitated to go based on reviews but we are staying within walking distance. Our server, Jory V, was excellent! The roasted Brussels sprouts were delicious and it’s definitely enough to split between 3 people. Pulled pork sandwich was yummy! The place needs a little sprucing up but overall, we’d go back. - 6/25/2025

Super excited to try but it looked completely different than the pictures they posted. We ordered our drinks and it felt like I was drinking straight from the bottle and that would have been fine but I didn’t order an extra shot. Ordered our food and honestly it just wasn’t $50 worth for 2 people. Never again - 6/22/2025

It makes me so sad to see this place go downhill and miss out on its amazing potential. This place should be the hottest spot in Willis, but it’s so badly in need of repairs and upkeep, I don’t really feel comfortable going back right now. The buildings and pool are horribly peeled/yellowed/mildewy/caved in. Weeds are grown up through the concrete everywhere, trash and junk are just left out in plain sight of the pool. The hot tub and splash pad are still broken after YEARS of needing repairs and just still there collecting rain water and mildew. The drinks and food were overpriced for what you’re getting. ($10 for kids meals for example.) And frankly, I don’t trust the kitchen cleanliness based on how poorly the property is upkept. What this place needs is a total makeover and good advertising, until then, I just can’t recommend this place, but I really hope somebody invests in it someday because it has so much potential! - 6/17/2025

We were there during happy hour, and we ordered two items off the happy hour menu -- chips and guacamole, and chips and queso. Both were priced at $5 on the happy hour menu, and we made it clear to the waitress that we were ordering off the happy hour menu. However, when we received the bill we were charged $10 for one of the chip orders and $12 for the other. When we brought it to the waitress's attention that we had been charged $22 instead of $10 , she told us we had been given the regular size of those chip orders instead of the happy hour size -- and that therefore we had to pay for the regular size even though we had ordered off the happy hour menu. What a ripoff! Also, the chips weren't very good and the size of the order wasn't particularly large -- definitely not worth more than $5. We will never go back to this place. - 6/14/2025

Been a regular at The Wave for 2 years....atmosphere has changed with recent management. Not sure I'll be wasting my $9 a glass of wine on crappy wine anymore, was doing so to be with my neighbor's but recent changes have me thinking I should drive around pick everyone up in my car an take them all some place else. - 6/11/2025

First and last time we will ever eat at this restaurant. Service was very poor. Took WAY TOO LONG to get our drinks, our appetizer (chips and queso) and our meal. My wife's chicken breast was ordered to have the gravy on the side. It came with gravy all over it. The chicken breast look like it had been pounded very flat much like a tenderloin not a chicken breast! My son and I ordered the surf and turf. It looked flat, non juicy and much like leather.NEVER AGAIN will I spend that much money for such poor service and food quality at that place. - 6/08/2025

Please needs a major overhaul outside, the docks are probably some of the worst in the lake. I’m not a fan of the wave and haven’t been for a while due to service and just atmosphere, but my kids are because of the pool, after our last visit my we got back on the boat and even the kids said they didn’t want to go back. Service was probably one of the worst I’ve had in the last few years out of anywhere I’ve been. I typically am not one to say something because I get folks have bad days at times. But this was unacceptable in every way. Do better because after years of coming we are done. - 6/06/2025

Totally agree with W iM review. Understaffed. Waited 20 minutes for water and another hour for food. Basically had to walk out in order to get the bill. Our son literally almost fell through rotten wood on the dock with his 3 years old son. Pool is nasty, filthy windows, etc., but you get the jest. Poor little overwhelmed waitress never delivered appetizer but it was on the bill anyway. Rather than fight it and wait another 30 minutes for a correction, we paid it and left. - 6/01/2025
