Kids Love the Petting Zoo

Children of all ages love animals, and they’ll love our petting zoo with donkeys, llamas, chickens, goats, deer, ponies, a cow, ducks, and soon to be new kids (baby goats).

Come meet our ponies named Parrot and Monkey, and arrange for a pony ride
(WEEKENDS ONLY!)

We love Parrot and Monkey. We think you will too! They are very gentle. Arrange for a pony ride or a Pony Lover’s Party where all can ride (Pony led by our facilitator: $100).

Children’s Playground with Youth Activities

We have a large children’s playground with slides, swings, and a gigantic sandbox. Sail away on our boat or play in our Western Play Town. The youth love the zip line, mini-golf, horseshoes, and ladder golf. Great family entertainment.

Play Town

Kids love our old Western Play Town. Adults love that history can come alive. So tie up your horses, mosey into the Jail, find the sheriff, and help lock up those bad guys. And watch out for Indians!

Mini-Golf Course for Children of All Ages

All ages can enjoy a game of mini-golf together. A good way to build family relationships is to play together.

Field Trips All Year

A fun place to bring your school or other groups for a Field Trip. Great for youth group entertainment. Inexpensive, with options to customize your fun for the age and interests of the group.

I believe this is a good place to go. It was to hot without wind and the heat was miserable. Although wheelchair accessible the sand /sand with white gravel was terrible to navigate through, I know it is outdoors but just wish it was a bit easier for a child in a wheelchair. The mini golf and a few other activities was almost inaccessible with the wheelchair! The kids were sad the “extras” are weekend only. - 7/04/2024

My daughter LOVES animals so we’ve been to nearly every petting zoo in Houston at this point. Unfortunately the animals at this location seemed the least maintained. Houston temperature is HOT, but the animals aren’t very well ventilated. One of the staff even mentioned to me they lost an alpaca recently due to the heat. All the sheep, alpaca, and several goats were in the barn barely moving because they were so hot and exhausted. It was really sad to see. The animals were all really sweet and friendly that we encountered though. The donkeys are hilarious with how they open their mouths for you to pour food in. I did notice the animals had no food in their bowls, so they might’ve been overly friendly due to wanting food. - 7/01/2024

There is so much for the kids to do. A lot of the activities or play areas are shaded. A nice breeze blows through the open areas. The animals are all so nice and my daughter had so much fun playing with and feeding them. You can bring a packed lunch or buy something there. They also have frozen drinks, cold water, and ice pops to cool off with. Their prices are very reasonable. Ice pops are just $0.50. - 6/28/2024

I took my children here when they were 4 & and 2, and I chaperoned a field trip for my oldest when he was 6. Both visits were a lot of fun! They have plenty of suitable activities for this age range but the best age range for their activities is between 4-8. The petting zoo area has plenty of very tame and super patient animals, including baby goats, ducks, tortoises, llamas, pigs, etc. There's plenty of playgrounds, a giant sandbox area, a safe zipline, a playhouse with giant legos, and a grounded boat for the kids to play on. They have outdoor restrooms with only 2-3 stalls, a water fountain, and an outdoor sink. The concessions area has tasty sandwiches and snacks at an affordable price. There is plenty of seating, unless you're there during a field trip, in which case I'd make sure you eat before or after everyone else. - 4/30/2024

Visited 7acrewood for the first time with my babies for an eatser event they had. Everyone is kind and friendly. It was so much fun! My babies enjoyed the petting zoo, Pony rides & playgrounds. We will definitely be going back. - 4/10/2024
