Walden on Lake Conroe Golf Club is a premier private golf club, open for memberships to residents and non-residents. Since its inception in 1976, Walden has enjoyed the reputation as one of the premier courses in the state of Texas. Although known for our world-class golf we also include a lively schedule of activities for all levels of play. Our Club restaurant, “Walden Café on the Green“, welcomes all with its friendly and professional staff. The Café hosts a wide range of popular events including martini nights, regularly scheduled wine dinners, monthly themed buffets, gourmet dinners, and even a weekly “wine & dine” menu with affordable food and drink combination specials. Whether you drop in after a round of golf or come to relax on the deck for live music during dinner, we make it our absolute goal to provide a pleasant and enjoyable dining experience.

Golf Digest has ranked Walden on Lake Conroe as the best course in the Houston area and the 5th best in the state. Golf Magazine has ranked our par 5 11th hole as one of the top 500 holes in the world. Walden has hosted many prestigious events over the years, including the 2006 TGA South Amateur Championship, the 2007 Southern Texas PGA Pro Championship, the 2009 TGA Mid America Match Play Championship, the 2010 Women’s Texas Cup, the 2011 WTGA State Amateur Championship and most recently the 2017 TGA Women’s Eclectic Championship. Walden Golf Club will host a PGA Korn Ferry Tour Qualifying School in September of 2022.

Meticulous attention to detail and year-round superior maintenance ensures Walden’s continued recognition as a premier course in the State of Texas. Walden’s design encompasses the natural beauty of tall Texas pines and native oak trees.
