This hands down is the worst place you can buy a boat if you are a first time boat buyer. Education and research is everything so i blame myself for not doing more but Texas Marine saw me coming a mile away. They took advantage and sold me an absolute pile of garbage. Day one we got it on the water and immediately over heated. From there nothing but problems every time it was put on the water. Now thousands of dollars later in repairs and they wont even take it back or help consign it so i can get out of it. This has been an absolute nightmare. If I could would give them zero stars. Absolute Trash.

The manager (Brian), sales representative (Kyle Roberts), and test-ride technician (Wayne Sullivan) at Texas Marine Conroe made my search for the right boat and the purchasing process very nice. They made themselves available to address all questions on multiple occasions and were very knowledgeable. I have purchased boats several times over the years from various dealers, but I have never been more pleased as I have been with Texas Marine Conroe.

Took my boat initially to the Conroe location. I was having issues with my trolling motor being under powered after changing a dead battery on a 24v system. Conroe charged $600 to install a new battery, and “correctly” place the wires back on the batteries. When the issue persisted, I took the boat to the Clearlake location. $1300 later, Clearlake says the issue is fixed. On the first trip after maintenance, I realize the issue was NOT actually fixed. I began to research the problem myself, and realized neither Conroe, nor Clearlake had wired my 24v system properly when connecting the lines to the batteries. 10 minutes of YouTube later, my trolling motor is back to 100% functionality.Save your money and time, and keep your boat away from all Texas Marine locations. Neither Conroe, nor Clearlake, know enough to fix a simple wiring error.

I’ve never had a better experience purchasing a boat (5 boats later). Our sales rep (Kyle Roberts) was so informative, transparent, and knowledgeable. He was available for all concerns. The General Manager (Brian Russell) was extremely involved in getting us the best deal for our trade and new purchase, and the Test Ride Tech (Wayne Sullivan) was very informative on our test ride.

Would NEVER recommend this dealer to anyone. In fact, I discourage anyone I meet on the lake from doing business with this dealer. Bought a new boat, but obtaining warranty/service is a joke. They had my boat 8 months and the work still has not been done. To top it off, this is the second time they’ve had it because the same work had not been done previously. Unfortunately, they are the only authorized Avalon dealer in the area, so you will be stuck attempting to obtain warranty work with them. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!!!
