I stopped by the shop to get a quote, a lot of my neighbors recommended and let’s just say, it did not dissapoint. It was a big expense but my family and I needed it, especially after last year. Texas generator solutions sent their rep out the next day and a good hearted giant of a man arrived, Bobea. He made sure all of the placements matched the warranty specs and gave me so many options on where my generator could be placed to save me money. My wife asked a lot of questions. He was very thorough and eased all of our worries. Everyone I have dealt with has been amazing, professional and have made sure everything was exactly as I wanted. Great job guys. Very happy with Texas Generator Solutions. Hired a guy from Magnolia who gave me a 2-week installation because Texas Generator Solutions said 6 weeks. After two weeks of waiting with excuses I called Texas Generator Solutions back and they had my generator put in in two weeks. Texas Generator Solutions promised six weeks. This is my first ever negative review but I felt compelled to write it after how we've been treated and portrayed. This is a 100% honest review. Do not choose Texas Generator Solutions (TGS) if when you're buying a generator you also expect them to service it. We bought a 22 kw with wifi in June of 2023. We had issues with the app and generator communicating and kept getting a message in the app that there was no wifi. Since the app keeps you updated on the status of the generator, we felt it was important to resolve. After multiple attempts of calling TGS to resolve the issue, since they don't always answer their phone, they sent a service tech out who suggested another extender, which we purchased and he returned to connect. He assured us this was a known issue. The extender did help with the dropped wifi issue but it didn't totally resolve it. In addition, communication with TGS is not easy as they don't answer emails either. Each email I sent, I had to follow up with a phone call 2 weeks later when I had received no response. When you deal with a company who does business like this, you tend to be agitated when you finally get ahold of them. Fast forward to March 2025 when our generator tried to start but only sputtered and then shut off on it's exercise day. We realized that day that our wifi wasn't connected to the generator and so there wasn't a code to provide when we got ahold of TGS for service. Their pleasant tech, Will I believe, said it was a 2800 code. He tried to convince us the exterior power switch located on the back of the unit, close to the house, was somehow bumped. We advised him we are sure that didn't happen and could there be another reason for the 2800 code? He assured us it was the switch (which was in the on position by the way) got bumped. He assisted with getting the wifi up and running again. Two weeks later we saw another glowing red light on the generator and sure enough, it was due to another 2800 code. The exterior switch (and interior) was in the on position (not off) so surely something else is causing the 2800 code, like a loose wire or something. We will never know because they sent Danny to do a maintenance check that was already scheduled so they said he could check the code. From the get go he was very rude. When he called to advise what time he was coming, I asked if he was aware of the 2800 code and tried to tell him it had been looked at 2 weeks prior but he got agitated and wouldn't allow me to even finish a sentence. That same attitude continued when he arrived and my husband tried to explain what we experienced with the symptoms of our generator. Danny was EXTREMELY irate and wouldn't allow my husband to explain. Update after Dustin's review: The generator had a green light and was running when he left. We anticipate it won't last long though since we've had the same issue twice in 2 weeks. After calling to complain how we were treated, instead the owner Dustin called back equally rude and irate as Danny and cancelled our service contract saying we were the problem. And no Dustin, we aren't problem customers to everyone, just to those who don't answer their phone when you really need them to, who don't answer their emails to important questions/concerns, and who don't listen to the customer and resolve an issue like their generator not running reliably! Just look at their Facebook reviews and you'll see we are not the first former customer with this same experience. - 3/31/2025

I do not recommend them. Jerry talked a good game & we bought a 22kw from them. Jerry told us he left Grasten to "do things the right way" with his son. Upon install they could not keep the generator linked to our wifi. Blamed us so we bought a wifi extender literally sitting on the inside of an exterior wall 5' from the generator. 76% signal. Still intermittent. The generator has been throwing a 2800 code for the last month which prevents the unit for doing what it is supposed to...supply power when your main power is out. It simply won't run. We have a 10 year warranty & signed up for their service plan. One technician (Cody or Will) came out said we bumped the switch on the backside of the unit. We did not. He turned that switch on & off along with another & one inside to reset them. $149 later the generator did the exact same thing upon next week's exercise. Not wanting to waste another $149 we waited until Donny came out for a wellness check. He said he just came from a customer with a 2800 code. I tried to tell him the specifics our our unit but he has trouble listening to customers & I got frustrated & said "Can you listen to me?" He screamed at me "Don't talk to me like that!!" I called the office, of course no one answers. After several attempts someone picked up & I explained my frustration. I even apologized to Donny after the call. Dustin called me irate a few hours later saying "he has sent 10 technicians out & none are good enough for us!" Canceled our contract & hung up on us. We called back, he did not answer. I called Jerry, left a message...no call back. Why do you spend thousands of dollars on a backup generator...To have it supply power. Install takes days, service goes on for years. All things for a reason...we will find a company who knows how to keep our investment doing what we paid for. Cavaet Emptor! - 3/29/2025

I got my generator installed on August 14, 2024 (ahead of the estimated date) The whole entire team at Texas Generator Solutions handled their business. They worked their tails off in the heat.. Very knowledgeable, Competitively priced, and don’t let me leave out they were very Patience with me! I had a millions and one questions and concerns for them Jack believe ME LOL!!!! I definitely recommend TGS you won’t be disappointed. Look at the finished product. Keep up the great work! My Generac would not start at the weekly start up. Texas Generator Solutions came out and immediately found the issue. The regulator from the original install company failed.
