Two Montgomery County sisters transforming a longtime Conroe hangout into a blues bar with live music

Introducing LUCY BLUES (aka Lucy’s): a Unique Sports Bar and Grill featuring Blues Music and Gourmet Bites, located at the oldest bar (Tut’s) in Conroe, Montgomery County, Texas!

Lucy Blues opened in early March and is now open daily from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., pairing soulful sounds with the latest sports action on multiple big screen TVs. The spot has patio seating and an outdoor bar with large TVs is in the works.

Lucy is for the name of B.B. King’s guitar “Lucille,” the owner says. Lucy is also the name of the guitar that Eric Clapton gave to George Harrison of the Beatles.

The menu includes fun bar bites with familiar favorites from Red Brick Tavern along with some twists like Elvis’ banana, bacon, honey and peanut butter sandwich.

“I’m grateful for this opportunity because they’re not making anymore dirt in Conroe and this is such a great location and an iconic place. It feels great to come back and give it a bit of a shine.”

First time in this place tonight... Thursday night about 945. I went straight to the men's room first thing. Kind of an awkward setup in there, but at least they did have water, soap, and paper towels. Service at the bar was courteous, professional, and prompt. I searched "dive bars near me" to find this place. It's not really that dive-y. My only complaint is the prices. $4.75 for a Lone Star longneck is a bit steep, although it isn't the worst I've seen. $5.50 for a small shot of well tequila in a little plastic cup is not cheap --- again it's also not the worst I've seen. I just happened to come in during karaoke night. This is a pretty rad karaoke scene. The front door opens up right in front of the stage, and there were 4 or 5 cute women involved in the performance that greeted me enthusiastically as I walked in. After I came out of the bathroom, a friendly customer (regular?) helped me sign up for karaoke. They do that thing here where you scan a QR code with your smartphone to get in the queue. There were 24 people ahead of me, but the karaoke jock called me to the stage almost immediately because I was a new singer. The KJ (a young white woman, I didn't get her name) was great at cracking jokes and keeping the energy up. Overall, I would definitely come here again. Good scene and good vibes.

Great all around place to go for watching various sports on several TVs to listening to live music while playing pool. Friendly service and great food. What more could you ask for? ☺️

Saw the "Heels" last friday. Food came from Red Brick Tavern but it got there fast, still hot. Acoustics are really good. Looking forward to coming back for an Astros game.

Come here. The drinks are good. The staff if wonderful. I would highly recommend this place if you want to have a good time .

Solid spot to kick back and have a good time. Friday nights they've got live blues music which sets a great vibe. Thursdays are karaoke nights—always entertaining, whether you're singing or just watching. They've got plenty of TVs for catching the game. The staff is friendly and attentive.

One of the first bars I got to enjoy in Conroe and now my go-to spot. The owners are fantastic people, kind and helpful. The place is completing its renovations and looks great already. Patio looks great and just all around great place with great people. If you're watching sports or looking for great live blues music in Conroe, check it out. And if not, still check it out.
