The Dosey Doe Venue

This 165 year old historical structure has been saved for its current purpose. Originally built as a tobacco barn in Kentucky, the 300-600 year old growth oak and birch massive beams are the foundation not only for a beautiful room for also for great acoustics. It is a place where memories are made. No need to run from restaurant to music hall, as here you have it all.

The Kitchen

Our entrees are “cooked from scratch” based on the season, special offerings of purveyors with the type of music of the night in mind. Our task is to offer a meal that would be the reason in and of itself to visit Dosey Doe. The presentation is note worthy and the creations are featured in several Cook Books from Canada to Texas.

The Music

Nationally recognized artists from around the world dominate the calendar here: from Jerry Jeff Walker to The Rippingtons, Dave Mason to Lee Roy Parnell, Clint Black to Bela Fleck, Leon Russell to Spyro Gyra, Steve Wariner to Hayes Carll, Roger Creager to Mel Tillis, Manhattan Transfer to Gallagher… up very close and personal. Most artists will stay to have photos taken and give autographs after the show. Many very rarely do it anywhere but here and almost everyone says it is one of their favorite rooms to play.

Come early and enjoy the room. Filled with Americana artifacts from the late 1800s to the early 1900s, there is plenty to see. Your hands touching the hand-hewn 2000lb barn beams, your eyes filled with art, artifacts, signage from a simpler time, your taste buds excited from salad to dessert, and music so pure – up close and personal… all designed to “Take You Away” and create a memory you will keep.

The BIG BARN is home to great causes such as RETT and SWING FOR A CURE; benefits where proceeds go to help children’s illnesses. The BIG BARN is available for large wedding receptions, corporate functions, birthdays and anniversary parties.

Not the best seats (time to replace or refill )or view (huge rail blocks view). Packed like sardines which makes it hard to get service.

it's like a 3.5. The concert was good, parking was fine, servers were really good. Service doesn't stop during the concert, so expect people to constantly be walking about. However, they do not accommodate vegan/dietary issues well at all. Their website says they do, so I called when I booked tickets. The woman who answered the phone said she noted it and said call back week of to verify. I called back week of and no answer, so I left a voicemail- no call back. I called the next day, after the menu was published and asked again. They said "we can just modify anything on the menu." The problem with that was the only vegan thing on the menu might have been french fries. Or if they could do the brussel sprouts with out the honey. The salad had honey as well, making it not vegan and the only way to modify it would to get a plain non-dressed salad with peaches and nothing else on it. It felt a bit like a choice to make everything purposefully not vegan when a request had been made to have a vegan option like they said they could.

Excellent concert but disappointed with the meal ……The crust of the “Ginormus” chicken fried steak was tough , as if it had been cooked earlier and then re heated . I have been to dozens of concerts there and always enjoyed the food, especially the chicken fried steak , which is a specialty . Next time , we will send it back to the kitchen .

A great opportunity to see live bands up close and experience the "Big Barn" welcoming atmosphere! Buy tickets in advance, check seats closely online for clear or blocked view. Dinner and service are always good. Sometimes parking is a little challenging but the experience is great!

Savršeno mjesto staro 146 godina za izlazak sa živom glazbom. Bili smo na večeri Songs of Sinatra by Anthony Caceres. Muzičari su zvučalo savršeno kao i sam Anthony. Hrana je odlična kao i kompletna posluga. Sve je savršeno. Pravi Texas izlazak.
