SLOW. Water stained; 87 degrees; 2.11 feet below pool. Catfishing is good with fish all over the lake on wind blown points and ledges in 10-15 feet of water. Action was best on Catfish Bubblegum, but fishing with liver did just about as good. Throw out range cubes and fish over them for a bit, then when the bream move in under the boat adjust or relocate. The fishing should improve as the water cools. Report by Brad Doyle, Bradley’s Guide Service. Bass fishing has improved during the day, with deep diving crankbaits proving effective around brush piles, ledges, and roadbed structures in 16-21 feet of water. Carolina rigs, shaky heads, and pegged Texas rigs with larger dark worms or lizards are also producing bites in proximity to the same structures. For early and late hours, medium-running crankbaits, lipless crankbaits, wacky worms, and swimbaits are working around riprap, rock piles, and bulkheads/docks adjacent to deeper water. Report by Bryan Brawner, Lake Conroe Charters. Hybrids are scattered in 17-25 feet of water, with some fish in small schools, and seeing many juveniles. Target points and flats Trolling with a pet spoon and a diver, or jigging with MTPockets slabs. Crappie continue to be slow frequently moving locations to get the hotties. Thumps continue to be lighter using a longer rod with Lone Star Crappie Jigs, Stunna jigs, smaller jigs or pitching. Minnows are hit-or-miss in 14-26 feet of water on or close to structures. Finding a thermocline in 31 feet of water. Always wear your life jacket. Report by Mike Cason, Fishical Therapy Lake Conroe Guide.
