SLOW. Water stained; 77 degrees; 1.55 feet below pool. Catfish continues to be very good using Catfish Bubblegum, liver, worms, shad, and punch bait on baited ledges and humps 10-25 feet. Still lots of tiny fish mixed with good eaters. Drifting cutbait has produced pretty well on main lake points for the bigger blue catfish. While the cooler water is improving the bite we are not seeing tight schools of bait just yet. Get out there and be safe and courteous! Report by Brad Doyle, Bradley’s Guide Service. Bass are good and becoming more active in shallower waters. Areas of vegetation and structure around creek channels north of FM 1097 bridge will be good in 4-12 feet of water using Texas rigged worms, Lizards, and Craws. Further south areas of brush piles, structures, and bulkheads in 6-12 feet of water will be productive along with deeper brush on the main lake in up to 18 feet water using Carolina Rigs, Craws, and crankbaits. Bass can also be targeted around brush tops along creek channels where schools of shad are active. Report by Bryan Brawner, Lake Conroe Charters. Hybrids are in 13-23 feet of water with some in good schools. Please check the tooth patch for a white bass versus hybrids. Target points or flats trolling with a pet spoon and a diver, jigging with MTPockets slabs, or using large minnows or liver. Crappie bite has turned on after the wind is now blowing from the north. Fish in 12-21 feet of water on or close to the structure, but be willing to keep moving to find those hotties. Thumps have improved this week with catches using Lone Star Crappie Jigs, Stunna jigs are producing some bites and the bite has been hit-or-miss with smaller jigs and minnows. Always wear your life jacket. Report by Mike Cason, Fishical Therapy Lake Conroe Guide.
