GREAT. Water stained; 63 degrees; 0.01 feet above pool. It appears spring has sprung! Water temperatures have reached 70 degrees in some areas, and there is pollen all over the water and the trees budding out. Noticed some bait up very shallow, so there should be plenty of predator fish chasing them. Smaller buck bass are shallow making beds, so the big girls should not be far behind. Dark colored plastics have been doing well. There are a few crappie up shallow, but not enough to write home about. Hopefully there will be more coming in but as far as I’ve seen the population is still down. Catfish are pretty much everywhere from 1-40 feet of water on baited holes using Catfish Bubblegum, worms, liver, shad, and punch bait. Several trophy class fish were caught on natural baits as well. Enjoy the season and stay safe. Report by Brad Doyle with Bradley’s Guide Service. Hybrids are in creek channels or shallows trying to do their thing. Always wear your life jacket.
