GREAT. Water stained; 56 degrees; 0.31 feet below pool. Catfish continue to be great. Quality eater sized fish and some trophy class fish being caught on baited areas with catfish Bubblegum, liver, and punch bait. Nice eater and trophy class fish are also being caught drifting natural cut baits like gizzard shad and bream. Numbers of hybrids and big whites being caught on shad schools with live and artificial baits, by means of jigging or dead sticking. Report by Brad Doyle, Bradley’s Guide Service. Black bass fishing is currently slower. Larger fish can be located around brush piles, submerged road beds, docks, rocky points, and other structures typically 12-24 feet deep. Effective slow go-to lures include Carolina rigged soft plastics and drop shot Berkley worms. As the water warms in the afternoons, bass are also being caught on medium running crankbaits in 6-12 feet of water around brush, dropoffs, and wind blown points. As the day warms up they will be on the move. Some anglers are finding fish in the shallows, or staging near creeks. Always wear your life jacket.
