GREAT. Water stained; 60 degrees; 0.71 feet below pool. Catfish are great. Eater sized catfish are pretty easy right now from shallow to deep using Catfish Bubblegum, liver, shad, and punch bait. Drifting for trophy class blue catfish has been good on bream and shad. Hybrids have been good on the flats with live shad. Pretty much find the bait and find the fish. Jigging or live bait have been working, deadsticking soon to come as the temperature continues to drop. Report by Brad Doyle, Bradley’s Guide Service. Bass fishing has been good in 6-12 feet of water on medium crankbaits and jerkbaits around grass beds and points. Where bait activity is present, crankbaits and Carolina rigged junebug color worms can produce around submerged road beds, pond dams, brush and other structure in 9-22 feet. Dropshot rigs with Berkley darker power worms have been working around rock piles and rip rap where bass can school up with water temperature drops. Report by Bryan Brawner, Lake Conroe Charters. Crappie bite has improved on structure in 12-22 feet of water using hair jigs from Lone Star Crappie Jigs and Stunna jigs, and low profile plastics. Always wear your life jacket. Happy New Year! Report by Mike Cason, Fishical Therapy Lake Conroe Guide.
