GREAT. Water stained; 62 degrees; 0.81 feet below pool. Eater size catfish are great from shallow to deep fishing with Catfish Bubblegum, liver, shad, and punch bait. Drifting for trophy class blue catfish has been good on bream and shad. Hybrids have been good on shad flats and live shad. Pretty much find the bait and find the fish. Report by Brad Doyle, Bradley’s Guide Service. Black bass activity is fair. Anglers are catching fish on watermelon and pumpkin seed soft plastics and jigs, as well as Rat-L-Traps, lipless crankbaits, and spinner baits in 6-12 feet of water. Creature baits are also working around docks, particularly in the later afternoon. Adaptability to changing weather conditions is crucial, so be prepared to adjust your tactics accordingly. To find concentrations of bass, use lures to cover as much water as possible, especially areas with schools of shad. If you’re targeting larger fish, try vertical jigging or Carolina rigs around structures on flats in 17-22 feet of water. Report by Bryan Brawner, Lake Conroe Charters. The crappie bite has picked up this week using hair jigs from Lone Star Crappie Jigs and Stunna jigs, low profile plastics and minnows. Fish in 12-22 feet of water on or close to the structure. Always wear your life jacket. Report by Mike Cason, Fishical Therapy Lake Conroe Guide.
