Nov 1, 2023SLOW. Water stained; 72 degrees; 0.55 feet below pool. Catfish continue to be good on baited holes or drifting with Catfish Bubblegum, liver, worms, punch bait and natural bait. Report by Brad Doyle, Bradley’s Guide Service. Bass have slowed now with the upper parts of the lake and shallower creeks and coves being dirty from the rains. Bass are fair in the southern end of the lake around docks, riprap and laydowns in 4-9 feet of water. Dark colored plastics like Texas rigged worms, craws, and wacky worms will produce bites in the stained water. Medium crankbaits and jigs can be productive around rock piles and brush piles in 6-15 feet of water. Report by Bryan Brawner, Lake Conroe Charters. Hybrids are in 13-23 feet of water on points and flats. Trolling with a pet spoon and a diver, has had some success, or jigging with MTPockets slabs. Crappie bite is slow for many, still having to hit many spots to get the hotties, but the thumps have been better this week. Crappie are on or near structure in 11-22 feet of water using Lone Star Crappie Jigs and Stunna jigs, preferring hair over plastic jigs, or minnows. Always wear your life jacket. Report by Mike Cason, Fishical Therapy Lake Conroe Guide.
