The Major General Patrick Cleburne’s 7th Texas Infantry #2182, Sons of the Confederate Veterans, and the Rebel Joan Of Arc 2721 Docents, of the United Daughters of the Confederacy, served in the Parade kick-off for the annual
“Conroe Founder’s Day Celebration” recently held. The SCV Camp again led the entry parade in from down the street on this special day with their beautiful Flags:
The United States Flag was carried by the Mj. Gen. Pat. Cleburne’s 7th Tx Inf. Commander: David Underdown, The Texas Flag was carried by Commander: Jody Ballard of the Grime’s County Grays Camp #924, The Christian Flag was carried by Daryl Seely of the Mj. Gen. Pat. Cleburne’s Camp, The First National Flag of the Confederacy was carried by Anthony Gurganus of the Mj. Gen. Pat. Cleburne’s Camp,
The Confederate Battle Flag was carried by Curtis Summers of the Mj. Gen. Pat. Cleburne’s Camp. The Driver/Escort for the Rebel Joan Of Arc Docents was SCV Marshall Brown, who was the 1st Veteran sponsored by Rebel Joan Of Arc Chapter for Veterans Medal Recognition at the Texas Division United Daughters of the Confederacy – Convention!
~We salute these Gentlemen and Confederate Descendants for remembering our Texas History.~
The Lovely Belles of the Rebel Joan Of Arc 2721 Chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy, then arrived in “Their Limo Golf Cart”, owned by Carl and RJOA Lyn Howard! The RJOA Belles were dressed in their “Period Dress” for the 1860’s to the 1880’s, in both “Town and Home Attire”. The RJOA & Conroe Founder’s Day Board Member: Elaine Collings was unable to attend, so RJOA Dianne Kebodeaux graciously accepted to introduced the RJOA Docents to Audience.
1. Mrs Dianne Taylor Kebodeaux: Chairman of Event Docents, Co-Founder of Rebel Joan Of Arc Chapter, and Charter Registrar.
2. Mrs. Donna Taylor Summers: Charter Member of Rebel Joan Of Arc Chapter, and Currently 2nd Vice President of Scholarships.
3. Mrs. Evelyn Parker Miller: UDC District 111 Treasurer, RJOA Benevolent Chairman, Directory & YearBook Chairman, and UDC Magazine Chairman. Mrs. Evelyn has “Nineteen” Proved Confederate Ancestors!
4. Mrs. Charlotte Hudson Belin: RJOA 1st Vice President of Ribbons and Insignia, and past Chaplain. Mrs. Charlotte has “Eleven” Proved Confederate Ancestors.
5. Mrs. Regina Shoemaker Riney: is RJOA Chairman of Hospitality, and a Super Great Loyal Member!
Not a Docent but completely deserving of our Recognition and Appreciation:
