THE REBEL JOAN OF ARC MEMBERS ATTEND NEW SCV CAMP CHARTERING: 4TH TEXAS FIELD CAMP, TOMBALL, TX!

The Rebel Joan Of Arc 2721 Chapter Members were honored to support a new Sons
Of Confederate Veterans Camp being Chartered. The 4th Texas Field Battery #2358 Camp was Chartered by Texas Division SCV Commander, Michael Hurley, with the new Camp Commander, Sean Theiss present. The Camp was Chartered May 24, 2025 at the old Church next to the Tomball Museum Center. It was the perfect atmosphere with the lavish shade trees all around. The new 4th Texas Field Battery #2358 Chartered Officers are: Commander Sean Theiss, 1st Lt. Commander is Brad Halliday, 2nd Lt. Commander Matthew Hoffart, Adjutant Ernest “Dusty” Kobs, Chaplain Stevens Sodich, Color Guard Sgts. are Bill Loving and Rodger Brown.
It was a very moving “Charge” given by TX Division SCV Commander Michael Hurley.
Silence filled the old church as each man came one at a time to sign their Name on their Charter, placed on the Altar of the old Church. It was a very simple ceremony filled with time to reflect on the journey and commitment of each man for what they believe in. To Honor your Heritage is the highest respect one can do for his/her family.
Other Confederate Groups in attendance honoring this new SCV Camp Chartering was United Daughters of the Confederacy 3rd VP Officer General: Tami Hurley.
The Woodlands Chapter of Rebel Joan Of Arc 2721 Chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy: Founder/Charter Pres. Elaine Collings, RJOA V.P. Charlotte Belin, RJOA UDC Magazine/Benevolent/Directory & YearBook Chairman: Evelyn Miller. Evelyn also serves RJOA as District 111 Treasurer. The Magnolia Rangers 2544 UDC of Humble: President: Anna Shepeard. The Major General Patrick Cleburne’s 7th Texas Infantry SCV Camp 2182 with Commander Elect: Buddy Gurganus, and Officer: Ken Miller. The Sul Ross 1457 SCV Camp: Past TX Division Chief of Staff & Past Lt. Commander: Marine Lt. Col. of the Marine Corps: Dennis Beal. The SCV Grimes County Grays of Anderson: Commander Jody Ballard. This quiet small dignified Ceremony had other important attendees present, and all should feel Blessed to have witnessed this special occasion and be surrounded by the wooden walls of this old beautiful church. As with every occasion, “Those who Attend are So Important”!
The Rebel Joan Of Arc Belles were dressed according to their functions of that day.
Lovely Evelyn Miller was dressed in her dignified UDC Colors of Red and White, and wearing her Rebel Joan Of Arc Name Badge. Charlotte Belin had just come from her RJOA Chapter’s participation at the Veteran’s Memorial Flag Park in Conroe to honor Memorial Day Weekend, and she was wearing her Rebel Joan Of Arc Name Badge.
Elaine Collings was in her Pink Kepi with her Ostrich plums with her Order of the Confederate Rose Past Officer Badges, among her RJOA Name Badge and the UDC “Katie Muse Cockade Ribbon” of the Organizer & 1st President of the Texas Division UDC. Elaine is also wearing her TX Division. President’s Pin of “Celebrate the Spirit of the Southern Family” which she was asked to Chair and design for TX. Div. UDC President: Louann Rubel. Elaine Collings is also wearing her TX Convention Attendee Pin & Bars listing the number of TX UDC Conventions she has been proud to attended. 3rd VP UDC General: Tami Hurley is draped in her Officer Sash for the UDC General, and her President’s “Rose” Pin from when she was TX Div. President.
The men were dressed appropriately in their Confederate accessories and remembrances.
