The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo is complete for 2025, but the Montgomery County Fair in Conroe is just getting started.Â
The 10-day fair is Montgomery County’s largest event, drawing 75,000 plus to the Montgomery County Fairgrounds each year.Â

When is the Montgomery County Fair?Â
The fair kicks off at 9 a.m. Thursday with Senior Citizen’s Day at the Lone Star Convention Center. Thursday is also the first day the carnival will be open on the grounds.
Other highlights include concerts Friday and Saturday night following the Cowboys Professional Rodeo Association rodeos both nights, crowning of the fair queen Saturday night, junior non-livestock judging Friday and Saturday, junior livestock judging Saturday through Wednesday, the Busch Light BBQ Cook Off April 11-12 and El Dia de La Familia Hispania April 13.Â

Who is playing at the Montgomery County Fair concerts?Â
The fair will welcome newcomer Jacob Stelly and 90s country favorite Sammy Kershaw to the 2025 event.Â
Stelly will perform Friday and Saturday brings Kershaw. They will perform following Friday and Saturday rodeos that start at 6 p.m. The concerts will be outside adjacent to the fair’s rodeo arena.Â
The 21-and-up Horseshoe Club features the Frost Bank Wine Garden and Ziegenbock Saloon. The Horseshoe Club is in a closed-in tent outside of the rodeo arena. The club also features live music during the fair.Â
Family fun at the Montgomery County Fair
The Buckalew Chevrolet Ag Knowledge Barn offers agricultural and education activities for all ages including pony rides, a goat mountain, the livestock birthing center, the petting zoo, and AG-ventureland. The barn is open Monday through Sunday from the fair opening for the day until 9 p.m.Â
Other family friendly events on the grounds include pig races, a tractor pull contest, the interactive Flower Pedal Ranch for young ones and the Kid’s Wild West Show.Â

How to go and where to park at the Montgomery County Fair
Admission to the fair and parking are free Monday through Thursday during fair week.Â
On Friday and Saturday both weekends of the fair, admission is $15 for 12 and older at the gate or $5 for kids 5-11. Tickets may also be purchased on the fair website for $10 for 12 and over and $5 for ages 5-11.
The ticket purchase for this Friday and Saturday includes admission to the rodeo and to the concert that follows the rodeo.Â
Large parking lots are on the south end of the fairgrounds along Airport Parkway and on the north end of the fairgrounds along Carl Pickering Memorial Drive.Â
A $5 parking fee will be charged the Friday and Saturday of both weekends. Parking maybe purchased on the fair website. Only $5 cash will be accepted onsite.Â
