A Spring woman was arrested and charged after allegedly stealing nearly $800,000 from her employer, authorities say.

From August 2017 to February 2021, Kelly Kolleen Horton, 60, allegedly embezzled stole $797,452.72 from Function4, a Sugar Land-based computer support service, according to court documents.

Horton retained 290 payments from more than 67 customers to a PayPal account allegedly for her own personal use, court documents show.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office arrested Horton on Aug. 28 after a seven month investigation, according to a release from the agency.

She is charged with theft property of greater than $300,000, a first degree felony.

If convicted, she faces a fine up to $10,000, and or 5 to 99 years in prison, the release states.Â
