Any time of the day, you might see a Waterford Estates resident walking his or her dog. Â Not only dogs, but lots of households count a cat or two as members of the family. Â So, it is not surprising that Waterford Estates is the place that the Pooches & Patriots Luncheon/Fashion Show committee meets.
This fund raiser will be held on Saturday, October 7th at 11:00 am – 2:30Â pm at April Sound Country Club’s beautiful Lakeside Room. Â This event benefits SPCA PETS SNAP of Montgomery County, a 501c3, all volunteer animal rescue organization with a no-kill policy for adoptable pets. Â All the animals in the program live in loving foster homes until a permanent family can be found. Â
Fashions for the show will be provided by Cavender’s Boot City and will be modeled by patriots who are clients of KFPI Service Dogs, a non-profit organization providing service dogs and service dog training to disabled veterans, retired law enforcement and others in need of their services through private, one-on-one lessons.  And the show will not only feature these heroic individuals, but some people will be modeling with his/her service dog and some adoptable SPCA PETS SNAP pets will be walking the runway as well!
There will also be a delicious luncheon, silent and live auctions, a Chow Hound Restaurant Gift certificate Raffle, and our famous Chippendog Dancers!
The room will be decorated with Memorial Flag Holders to commemorate those who have served our country and have since passed away. These heroes will be honored and their names will be listed in the program.
