It’s birthday time!  Lots of WOWs (Women of Waterford) traveled across Hwy 105 from Waterford Estates to El Bosque to celebrate not one, not two but seven October/November birthdays!  Celebrating their 39th birthdays were Dundee Kuhasz, Kim Tyson. Evelyn Bowden, Kim Driver, Sharon Jeffus, Cathy Jorge and Kathy F.  What a great time we had, drinking margaritas, munching on chips and salsa and just getting together to honor our fabulous WOWS!  Thanks to Debbie Morse for organizing our fun outing!

Congratulations go out to Corinne Dunn’s granddaughter, Jordyn Dunn for earning her Aggie Ring at a recent Ring Dunk Celebration!  I was not sure what that meant but Corinne explained that a student is honored with a school ring after completing 90 hours of credit at Texas A&M.  Way to go, Jordyn!!

Bring out the hankies as Carol Luft shared this heartwarming story about her precious 15-year-old dog Gracie.  This is what happened:  Carol was having work done on her bulkhead.  Carol let Gracie out to potty and a short time later went to call Gracie back in. But no Gracie!
Frantic, she put up lots of “Lost”  signs up in the neighborhood and posted  Gracie’s picture on Facebook, Next Door Neighbors and Waterford Estates website.  Nothing.  Being a senior dog, Gracie, does not see very well and apparently fell into the lake because the next day (and a sleepless night for Carol!), Carol received a call from a wonderful Good Samaritan (Danny Blankenship) who said he saw Gracie on the bottom of the jet ski ramp at Papas on the Lake and rescued her!  What a miracle that little Gracie could swim that far.  Danny said that Gracie was so exhausted that she couldn’t get up the ski ramp by herself, so Danny’s son climbed down to get her.  What a wonderful story!  And, thanks to a wonderful father and son duo, a very happy ending!  You two have earned your place on the rainbow bridge!
