Earlier this month Waterford Estates residents Marie and Dave Underdown traveled east on Hwy 105 to First Methodist Church –Â Conroe to join hundreds of other folks at Montgomery County Choral Society’s Fall Concert “Celebrating Americana” with Guest Concert Director: Jim Kritikos. Â
WOW! Â From the first number – “Splendor” from Illuminare – to the last, “America the Beautiful”, all of us in the audience were blown away by the talent, not only of the singers, but also Concert Director Kritikos and Assistant Artistic Director, Craig Stephan. Â
One of the most interesting pieces was entitled “Water Fountain” by Tune Yards. Â It illustrated many people walking down the street and the myriad of conversations taking place all at the same time. Â In other words, the lyrics didn’t make sense! Â In addition, to further illustrate a busy street, the MCCS members added clapping and foot stomping. Â The overall effect was awesome! Â Actually, the whole concert was awesome. Â Thanks to everyone involved!
Save the date for Montgomery County Choral Society’s Winter Concert “Holiday Classics” which will be held on December 8th at 7:00Â pm at First Methodist Church-Conroe. Â
