Anyone beside me ready to move forward to the many new things in our neighborhood?  I welcome 2024!

The Follies preparations have started.  Cast members have been practicing in preparation of the act reviews that are beginning this month.  So much talent in our neighborhood.  Brenda Badgett, is Director and Lorraine Counts will serve as Assistant Director.  These two ladies have been in the Follies for many years and have the “director hats” for another year.  Robert Hubbard and Jan Zaremba Smith will serve as Technical Directors. They both worked last year with Fran Copland, who served as technical director for many years. They are ready to rock in their new roles.

You can find the information about dates and times at the Follies website www.waldenfollies40.com. Ticket sales will open to the public starting February 1st for all dinner performances.  It promises to be a great show folks, you don’t want to miss it!

Two new websites.

The new WCIA website will give you access to reservation for all the amenities, community documents and a link for payment. I took a little walk around and there are still areas that need attention, but it is far better than the old one already and promises to serve us well in the future.

There is also a new website for Walden Golf Club. If you are a member of the golf club you are aware that the website is not very user friendly just yet. This was very evident for Wednesday’s first WLGA, WLGA-9 play day of the year. Please give the Pro Shop staff a little support as they do their best handling reservations and pairings during this conversion.

I must give a shout out to my friend Linda Bliese who ended her 2023 with a bang! Wednesday December 27th, she made a hole-in-one on #12 at Walden Golf Club. It was her second hole-in-one on #12. It is now officially her favorite hole on the course. Congratulations Linda!

Not to be out done by a lady, Don Nelson also made a hole in one. His was made on #6 and on the same day. I do not know Mr. Nelson so I cannot give you an accurate count on the number of holes-in-one the gentleman has accomplished. Congratulations to him on this one!
