Mostly on a monthly basis, a group of ladies meet at a local Mexican restaurant to enjoy a variety of dishes and very lively “stories”. This past Tuesday you could find Sharon Richardson (our ring leader), Jeannine Dennis, Connie Winn, Susan Phillips, Bette Garland, Barbara Shepherd and me at Lalo’s. So much laughter and meeting of the minds going on at our front and center table that I feel sure we will be asked to sit in the back of the restaurant next time! We ran into several folks from in and around Walden while we were there.
Steve & Karen Krauszer were there with some of their friends. They had started a group to learn Spanish during the Covid shut down. They happily got off Zoom and back into fun places to practice what they have been learning. They used their time in lock down a bit more productively than I did. I did get my pantries organized. Yea me!
In recent months, the WCIA Administration and staff have dedicated themselves to enhancing our services and I, for one, am very excitedly awaiting the introduction of a new platform that will significantly enhance our experiences in Walden. Look for the release date in the coming weeks to download the app directly from the App Store and Google Play. I can’t wait to explore all these fantastic enhancements!
Reminder: If you are interested in running for the WCIA Board the sign-up process began August 15th and continues until 5pm on September 15th. You can obtain an application form and the submittal instructions at the administration office or online at waldenonlakeconroe.com. Those interested should be aware that this is an elected three-year position for the 2024-2026 term.
