Precinct 43, Panorama’s precinct, had a good voter turnout for the March 5 Election Day.  That was also true of the early voting attendance. Thanks to Charlotte Belin, and all her workers who spent a long day at the polls. The election for Mayor and City Council will be held May 7. Running for Mayor is Bill King and Lynn Scott, Councilman Position Number 2 is Clint Fowler (unopposed) and Councilman Position Number 4 is Joe Watson and Marty Ellington.Â
March 7 the Panorama Niners hosted the Super Niners Interclub. It turned out to be a nice day, and everyone enjoyed the golf and lunch. This group also includes golfers from April Sound, Elkins Lake, and Walden Country Clubs.  There will be a Easter Brunch from 10 am – 2 pm at the Clubhouse. At 1pm  there will be an Easter Egg Hunt for four age groups of children. Those participating will need to bring their own basket. There will be an Easter brunch, March 31, from 10 am to 2 pm. There will be breakfast and lunch items on the menu. The brunch will consist of breakfast and lunch food items and will be $21.95 per person and $11.95 for children six and under. Â
The American Junior Golf Association will hold their All-Star Tournament at Panorama April 4–7, 2024. There are many opportunities for volunteers during those days. It is also a chance to watch the next generation of golf. Â
Also, remember the Panorama Lions Club Charity Golf Tournament on Saturday, April 20, 2024, here at Panorama Golf Club. It will be a four person scramble, including a ladies division if there are four teams of ladies. The entry fee is $75 per person or $300 per team. The tournament includes 18 holes including cart, breakfast, lunch, goodie bags and door prizes. Â Mulligans and raffle tickets will also be available. Go to: www.panoramalions. com to register. Â Deadline for registration is April 10. Â Playing in this tournament will help the Lions Club with funds for their many charitable projects. Â
On April 21, at 4Â pm there will be the Grill and Chill Block Party. You can bring your grill and cook for your neighbors. Â Bring your favorite appetizer and dessert to share with everyone. Panorama Golf Club will have drinks for sale as there are no outside alcohol allowed. The Elev8tors will be playing live music in front of the Clubhouse starting at 4 pm. Reservations must be made by April 29. There will be a Two Man Scramble May 18–19 at Panorama Golf Club. Sign up in the Pro Shop with a deadline of May 10. The tournament will include Longest Drive and Closest to the Pin. Flights will be determined by the lowest member handicap or history. Included will be an optional Player Pool and Skins Game. May 17 will be a practice round. Remember that the restaurant is open to the public so come join the fun these activities present to our community!
