Good News for our area! Â The Montgomery County Tax Office has opened a branch on 1097 (Montgomery Street) in Willis.Â
Residents can pay their property taxes, register their vehicles and boats in this convenient office.The office also includes a Military Help Desk to assist anyone in the armed forces with information about benefits, property tax or vehicle registration.
The Willis office is open Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Robin Herman is the branch manager at this location that  opened January 17. The official address is 804 W. Montgomery Street, Ste. The Lunar New Year, also known as the Chinese New Year begins on Feb. 10. The Chinese zodiac is a system of 12 animals and five elements that are  used to calculate years in a 60 year cycle. The 2024 Lunar New Year marks the Year of the Dragon. This will include traditional celebrations, such as food festivals, Lantern Celebrations, Lion and Dragon Dances, and the gifting of red envelopes filled with money for good luck. Check the Internet for any Lunar New Year celebrations you could attend.Â
