Rain, Rain Go Away! Come again some other day! That is the way many of us are thinking. However, we must be thankful for this rain. it could be a reminder of low spots in our yard that need to be built up. Remember that during rainy times it is best to leave earlier than usual and be extra careful. We have also had bouts of very foggy mornings that can lead to reduced vision.
Because of possible flooding some schools have been closed.
This type of weather is difficult for avid golfers who play every week day. Some that have been home have taken time to complete a few of those “To Do” chores that have been waiting around to be done. Even if the golf course is closed, there has been someone manning the phones in the pro shop, Thank you!
The Panorama Garden Club didn’t let “a little rain” stop them from meeting. Jeni Clark did an excellent job filling in for the planned speaker who was unable to attend. She discussed the PowerPoint presentation on ornamental trees. She also forwarded it to those who were unable to attend. It was good basic information on many different types of trees. The knowledge gained was very helpful as the Garden Club has been researching different types of trees for planting in the parks of Panorama.
The information gained helped the group narrow the list of possible trees to be used.
After all this rain, make an effort to eat at the clubhouse to make up for the times missed recently. Invite a neighbor to join you for a visit and some tasty food!
