Happy New Year! Hope you celebrated the entrance of 2024! Those who attended the New Year’s Eve party at the clubhouse certainly celebrated with lots of food and fun! The large buffet included, smoked brisket, stuffed pork loin, pecan crusted chicken, for entrées.  Other items included Cajun boiled corn, potatoes, and sausage, green beans, a chili charcuterie board,  jalapeño bread, crab stuffed fried jalapeños, salad bar, shrimp cocktail, smoked meat and cheeseboard, baked brie, fruit display, and a huge dessert table that included a chocolate fountain and other delights.
Picture taking at the picture booth continued all night long the DJ played a variety of music and along with that came a variety of dancing styles. At 11pm there was a fireworks display watched by everyone on the deck. Many, many  thanks go to those who helped with the fireworks. At midnight champagne toasts were made to the new year. Thanks to a special resident for coming up with all the “Let’s Glow Crazy“ decorations. With those and the excellent food and hard work of the staff, the clubhouse was the place to be!
The Niners played  Tuesday, beginning their new year of competitive golf. Winners of the day were Low Net Arlene Hallers, Flight 1; Tammy Billingsley Flight 2; Ruthie McGrath Flight 3 and Low Putts Janice Messina Flight 1; Tammy Billingsley, Flight 2 and Ruthie McGrath Flight 3.Â
Last week I didn’t finish the sentence stating Dana Howze made a Hole in One on #7 December 17. Wanted everyone to know as that is a golfer’s dream. I believe that is not her first. Will check and let you know.Â
