Social Lites – Panorama Village

I believe most of us are wondering how the year passed by so quickly! Just about the time I get used to writing the date correctly it is time to get a new calendar and begin again. I hate to see my large golden tree lose all its beautiful leaves. As far as I can remember it’s never been this pretty before. People have taken pictures of the tree and asked me what kind it is. Unfortunately I don’t know but hope to find out.  

The Friday Night Dinner Features for January are: January 5 Chicken Fried Steak Mashed Potatoes Gravy and Green Beans $17.50. January 12 Chicken and Beef Fajitas with Refried Beans & Rice $16.95.  January 19 Gumbo with Garlic Bread $16.95. January 26 Lasagna Salad Bar and Garlic Bread $16.95. Please make reservations by Thursday afternoon. Tuesday is Wings Night. 

Wednesday is Burger Night Get a Burger – Get one ½ Price. Friday is Friday Night Specials. Saturday is Breakfast from 8 – 11 am  with Breakfast Tacos and Sandwiches available 8 am until Sold Out on Sundays Only. Remember the Panorama Golf Club is Open to the Public which includes Golf and the Greenbriar Bar and Grill. Check the website for hours.

On Tuesdays there is Game Day from 12:30 – 7 pm. There are groups that come and play Bridge, Mexican Train, and Chicken Foot Dominoes during those times and many also eat either before or at mid break. Call Ruthie McGrath 713-557-7663 for details if interested.

The Panorama Niners will begin their year of competition golf on Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2024. They meet in the Ladies Locker Room at 8:30 am each Tuesday thereafter. If interested you will be welcomed by the players. There are golf memberships but you may also pay-to-play in the proshop. The Niners are members of the Pacesetters Interclub and the Super Niners Interclub allowing them to play at Walden, April Sound, Bentwater, Woodlands and Elkins Lake in Interclub Tournaments. The 18 Hole PWGA group also play in Interclub Tournaments in the area. 

The Panoramic Ladies Association meeting will be held Friday, Jan. 5 at the Clubhouse at 10:30am. Contacts have been made to members for reservations, but if you would like to attend for lunch and entertainment by the Crighton Theater Stage Right group,  contact Ruthie McGrath.
The Liberty Belles Republican Women will meet January 11, 2024 at the Clubhouse.

Registration and Lunch is at 11:30 am with the meeting at noon. There will be a political forum including the candidates for Sheriff and the Judge for the Ninth Court of Appeals. Please make reservations at libertybellesrw.com by Jan. 5.
