The Niners Awards Brunch will be held on December 5th.  They will meet in the dining room at 10:30 am for coffee, pastries and their End  of Year Awards. Lunch will be served starting at 11:30. Those attending are asked to bring an unwrapped toy for the Toys for Tots Clubhouse bin. Â
Last week the group finished their Ringer Tournament and enjoyed lunch together and awarded prizes to these winners: First Flight (1) Arlene Hallers (2) Darlene Scott Second Flight (1) Tammy Billingsley (2) Denise Harp Third Flight (1) Jean Benson (2) Betty Emmons. Thanks go again to Janice Messina for organizing that event! This week the Modified Scramble winners were Janice Messina, Denise Harp, and Pat Northey. During the month of December, the Niners will not play competitively and will begin their New Year January 2, 2024. The PWGA hopes you saw the picture of President Ruby Hefner, Treasurer Denise Peel, and Secretary Janet Mehalick presenting a $2,753 check to the Montgomery County Women’s Center to help with Santa gifts for many Montgomery County children.Â
The City has tentatively set today, Dec. 3, for Panorama residents to bring their bagged leaves and other yard waste to put in a large roll off container for disposal.  The container will be located in front of the fire station /police station. This service is designed for residents of Panorama Village only and not for contracted lawn services.  Be looking for a flyer in your water bill for details that will explain changes in the curbside waste and recycle service. There will be new collection days starting January 1, 2024 .  Regular Waste Collection Day will be Tuesday. Please be sure your trash is out by 7 AM on collection day Recycle Collection Day  will now be Thursday. Also the first Thursday of every month is bundle/bulk waste collection day. Collection is limited to 10 items.
Acceptable items include old furniture appliances, grass clippings leaves, branches and tree trimmings. Moving boxes not placed in the recycle cart may be broken down, tied and bundled for collection. Remember that Waste Management cannot dispose of refrigerant containing items, such as refrigerators and freezers without certification that Freon has been properly removed and recycled. Please place your carts (bins) at the curb with the opening toward the street and handles, facing the home or fence. Trash carts (bins)  should be at least 3 feet away from any obstructions such as a parked vehicle or mailbox and within 1 foot from the curb.  For the safety and protection of Waste Management employees and equipment, they do require that branches and tree trimmings be no greater than 3 inches in diameter and be cut, tied and bundled in 4 foot links weighing no more than 50 pounds. Please save your flyer to refer to about the new service days and other important information.
Winter Wonderland will be Friday, December 15, from 5–8 pm.  Santa will arrive at 5:30. For details please see the flyer at City Hall, or check the website at www.panoramavillagetx.gov. The Panorama Garden Club will be judging resident decorations on December 18. Please have your lights on at dark so the judges can see your beautiful displays. Â
