Today the Couples Tournament will begin at noon. The course will be closed September 30 and October 1 due to Dirty’s Annual Invitational Tournament.
Tuesday the Niners played with the largest number of players in some time. They also hosted their Pacesetters Interclub on Thursday with 68 players from April Sound, Bentwater, Walden, the Woodlands, and Elkins Lake. The mixed club teams played a scramble, renewing old friendships, and gaining new ones. After enjoying a beautiful, but very warm day on the course, the salad and brownie with ice cream was a special treat. Panorama players on winning teams were Jeanie Jackson, Shirl Adam, Pat Northey, and Denise Harp. Many thanks go to Joe Watson and his “Bag Boys”, Jenny, Kristi, Justin and Adrian for all their contributions to the day.
The Panorama Men’s Club Championship Tournament will be held Nov. 4 and 5. Sign up in the Pro Shop. Last week PWGA player Marian Leighty won Low Net Over the Field and Nancy Florer, VJ Derrington had Birdies and Dana House had a Chip In.
They are preparing for their annual Party in Paradise to be held Oct. 5. The Wednesday and Friday Scramblers need to sign in by 5 pm with tee time at 5:25. The fee is $24 for non members.
The Conroe Symphony will have a performance October 14 at the First Methodist Church Conroe on Hwy 105. Be sure and get your season tickets there if you don’t already have them. Check out the new restaurant, Walk On’s Sports Bistreaux,just down the I 45 feeder road from Panorama. It features Louisiana inspired cuisine like gumbo, jambalaya, po’boys, crawfish and burgers, sandwiches and salads and Creole specialties. It is very large and appropriate for families as well as anyone interested in good food and service.
A Callaway Fitting Day will be September 29, from noon to 4 pm. Using the latest in fitting equipment and technology, including Foresight GCQuad launch monitors. The Performance Fitters are professionally certified to deliver optimal club and ball recommendations.
