Congratulations to Ashley Knoll who was one of eight inducted into The Texas A&M Letterman’s Association’s 2023 Athletics Hall of Fame Class at the 45th Burgess Banquet Sept. 15.
Ashley ‘07 was chosen for making her mark in Women’s Golf while attending A&M and has continued in her professional career after
graduating. She was a three-time letter winner as well as All-America honors in 2006 and 2007. She is one of six Aggie golfers to have been named an All-American two-or-more times in their career. During the 2006 and 2007 seasons, she was named the Big 12 Golfer of the Year, the only golfer in program history to receive the honor twice.
The Houston native holds the school record for most tournament wins in a career with six, including the individual Big 12 Championship in 2006. The hall of famer led A&M to two-consecutive Big 12 Championships and is still in the top-10 in the A&M record book in career par-or-better rounds (34), eagles (5) and birdies (259).
Panorama Golf Club is proud to have her run the Ashley Knoll School of Golf at their facility. Lessons are offered for ages 3 and up. Check out student and individual classes at ashleyknollgolf@gmail.com.
PWGA Low Net Over the Field winner was Celie, Birdies Kathleen and Karen and Chip Ins Dana, Marian and Gwenda. The Niners played a Modified Scramble with Pat Northey, Tammy Billingsley, and Fran Jacobson as winners. Play was followed by the monthly meeting. The Garden Club met at the home of Denise Harp.
Lucinda Owens gave a very interesting and informative power point program on roses. Mary Lu Divilbiss gave out yearbook folders to the members. Inside was information about the coming year and also included a pad and pen for taking notes. There was even garden type stickers to decorate the folders.
