Panorama Golf Club will be open on Labor Day, September 4. Besides being open for golf and eating, the Panorama Lions Club will hold their drawing for the raffle that they have been selling tickets for two pieces of jewelry. Contact any Lions Club member for a ticket. The drawing will be held Monday, September 4 at 6 PM at the Clubhouse. The Panorama Ladies Association will begin their new season Friday, September 8, with check-in at 10:30 AM at the Panorama Clubhouse. The meeting will begin at 11 AM following Punch Bowl and visiting. After a short business meeting conducted by President Carolyn Backen, Paul Chamberlain from the Montgomery County Historical Society, will present the program “The Richest Woman in Texas”. Members should be contacted for required reservations. The $18 lunch fee will be paid at the door during registration with either cash or check, made to PNO. The September meeting for the Liberty Belles Republican Women will be held Thursday, September 14, with registration AND lunch at 11:30 AM. The meeting will begin at noon, followed by Texas Representative Will Metcalf, who will give a legislative update. Please contact Ruthie McGrath if you would like to attend without a meal so the proper seating will be available.
The PWGA Low Net Over the Field winner Tuesday was Kat Huber. Other winners were First Flight Low Gross Karen T, Low Net Bev Mannen, Third Flight Low Gross Julie Watson, Birdie Ruby, Hefner, and Chip In Kat Huber. The Niners played a Modified Scramble with the team of Arlene Hallers, Janet Bridges, and Pat Northey winning.
Their White Elephant Tournament scheduled for September 5 has been cancelled.
There will be a Charcuterie Board Class, September 19, at 6 PM at the Clubhouse. You must have a reservation so contact Jenny at jenny@panoramagctx.com. October 15 – Chili Cook Off at the Panorama Pavilion.
