What is happening in Conroe?
Auditions for the Buddy Holly Story performing weekends April 5-21 will be Sunday, Jan 7 -8 from 6pm-9pm. Musicians are needed as well as actors who are able to play 50’s jazz, blues, and early rock and roll-especially electric guitar, fiddle, and upright bass instruments. All music audition videos must be submitted by 6pm on Tuesday, January 9. More information on their Facebook page- “Stage-Right Theatre Company.”
Get your tickets for the Annual Conroe Rotary fundraiser, “Spirit of Service” Thursday, January 11 from 6:00pm-8:30pm at the Hyatt Regency Conroe, 1001 Grand Central Parkway. The Rotary Club was established in 1932 with a mission of Service Above Self. One of their goals is to provide “I Like Me” Books to every first grader in Conroe ISD schools each year personalized with the child’s name and friends to encourage reading over the summer. Their bigger mission across the world is to eradicate polio. The featured speaker is Rep. Will Metcalf. A Tribute to the Beatles- Beatlemania 64-2024 will show Saturday, Jan 13 with many hits from the Beatles touring years such as, “I Want to Hold Your Hand”, “Hard Day’s Night”, and “She Loves You” as well as album favorites like “Nowhere Man”, and “In My Life”. This live concert performance takes you back to Beatles from the year 1964. CrightonTheatre.org.
