First week in December-already?  

This is the second week for the community theatres in Conroe. Stage Right will host “Christmas Belles” with three sisters and a hilarious Christmas program set in a small town in Texas at the Crighton Theatre weekends through December 17th. For tickets go online to CrightonTheatre.org. The Owen Theatre will host The Players Theatre Company production of “Holiday Inn”, also through Sunday, December 17th. Experience the joy of the season as the Montgomery County Choral Society presents an enchanting Holiday Classics concert Friday, Dec. 8 at 7:00pm at First Methodist Conroe. Tickets: www.mcchoral.org/event

The Annual Toby Powell Christmas Celebration and Kiwanis Parade is Saturday, December 9th starting at 11:00am at Heritage Place Park and continues until 4:00pm. Free activities for kids include snow hills, face painting, petting zoo, pony rides, train rides, camel rides, and Santa! The Kiwanis Christmas Parade will start at 1:00pm and wind around the downtown area. Don’t miss it! All free from the City of Conroe!

Looking ahead the Conroe Symphony Orchestra will perform their annual Christmas concert on Saturday, Dec. 16 at 2:30pm at First Methodist Conroe. More information at www.ConroeSymphony.org. Among the favorites will be several selections from Tchaikovsky’s great Nutcracker ballet and Bizet’s Farandole from L’Arlesiene Suite No. 2. CSO will also present many of the traditional melodies of the season such a music from the movie Polar Express, Sleigh Ride, and God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen
