Thanksgiving is here!

Stop by the Ferm Meadery on Simonton to get your Thanksgiving wine! Have you tried it yet? Mead is wine made from honey with water fermented by yeast. At the Ferm Meadery they add flavoring with fruits like cranberry, apple, lime, tangerines, or for the brave-jalapenos!

After Thanksgiving I encourage everyone to consider helping our local merchants make their year by shopping locally. Black Friday and Christmas can make or break a retail business and the shopping is served up with fantastic customer service and EASY parking!

Enjoy live music at The Corner Pub, The Red Brick Tavern, or Pacific Yard House on Friday and Saturday after a day of shopping!

Bring family and friends to the Annual Christmas Tree Lighting and Christmas on Main after Thanksgiving on Tuesday, Nov. 28 through the streets of downtown Conroe. The Tree Lighting begins at 6:30pm at Heritage Place with Christmas on Main immediately following the lighting of the spectacular tree. Visit the local merchants who will provide Christmas treats/refreshments, photo opportunities, cookie decorating, face-painting, and of course a visit with Santa at Mimi’s on Main. Be sure and get a ticket to be entered for the drawing at 8:30pm at Founder’s Plaza for bikes and other prizes! Must be present to win. Both events are hosted FREE by the City of Conroe and the Conroe Downtown Area Merchants Association.

Tickets for the drawing and tokens to vote on your favorite window display will be available at 4 Information booths:
•    Main Street/Hwy 105
•    San Jacinto/Metcalf
•    Thompson/Simonton
•    Main Street/Metcalf by Founder’s Plaza Park

Christmas on Main will commence at 6:30pm a until 9:30pm. The Express Professional Employment will bring the beautiful Clydesdales horses out at the parking lot across from the Owen Theatre. Christmas music will be throughout the streets with the Jazz Connection playing at Founder’s Plaza Park and the Montgomery County Choral Society singing Christmas carols by the Nativity Scene on Simonton near the Courthouse Square.

Get a picture with the Bear from Bears ETC, shop the vendor market on Metcalf, and visit Disney Princesses at Kof Num Pang Coffee House while you wait to visit Santa. You may just see the Grinch wandering the streets also.
