Did you know the Conroe Art League is celebrating 60 years of offering classes and workshops for adults and youth, art exhibits, juried shows, and scholarships for continuing art education in Conroe? Visit their September exhibit at 127 Simonton Tuesday through Saturday from 11:00am-4:00pm. 202 Main is hosting a Maxed-Out Comedy Show Thursday, Sept 21 at 8:00pm with headliner Chad Alexander and featuring Sean Sorley. Laugh and have fun on Thursday night! Final week for “Anything Goes” at the Owen Theatre with The Players Theatre Company and “9 to 5 the Musical” at the Crighton Theatre from Stage Right. Both exceptional shows full of entertainment from our local community theatres.
Saturday, Sept. 23, starting at 1:00pm the Heritage Museum of Montgomery County hosts an Intimate Gathering with the Headmaster of the John Copper School, Dr. Stephen Popp leading a conversation about Constitution Day and the United States Constitution. Dr. Popp is a James Madison Fellow, an award given to secondary teachers for their excellence in constitutional history and government after completing a challenging program in Washington D.C. The informational program includes a fun scavenger hunt. The event will be at the Heritage Museum, 1506 I-45, at Cand Cane Park.
Saturday, Sept 23 is Oktoberfest at B-52 Brewery from 2:00pm-7pm with free admission. Food trucks serving pizza, German food, and BBQ items will compliment the adult games, stein hoist, barrel roll, and best dressed contest. Of course, they will have a wide selection of premium craft beer with drink and souvenir glass packages.
