School is in session for Conroe ISD. Please be aware of school zones as you travel especially this first week as everyone gets back to a more rigid schedule. Willis ISD begins classes the following week.

We know Pacific Yard House has great food, but did you know they serve 12 different salads and have daily specials on their menu? Monday is chicken strips, Tuesday Tacos, Wednesday is Ribeye Steak, Thursday is Catfish Po-Boy, Friday is Chicken Fried Steak, Saturday you can get a one topping pizza, and Sunday is Brunch until 3pm. Every Sunday you can catch Gospel Sunday Brunch with the Jim Sloan Band at The Red Brick Tavern starting at 11:30am. Make it a shopping and dining Sunday and stop at all three venues for food, drink, and music!

The Hunchback of Notre Dame, presented by Christian Youth Theatre is weekends Friday, August 11at 7pm through Sunday, August 20 at 2pm with two performances on Saturdays at 2pm and 7pm. Christian Youth Theater (CYT) is an after-school theater arts training program for students ages 5-18. Support youth theatre, stay cool indoors, and be entertained! Tickets are available at CYTHouston.org and the show is at the Crighton Theatre. 

Registration for Conroe Cheer Stars for youth 6-12 years of age starts Aug 14 and official practice begins Oct. 9. Youth will learn jumps, pyramids, and basic gymnastics to perform at CISD events. Practice is Mondays 5:30pm-6:30pm. Contact the K. Ray Recreation Center at 936-522-3900 or online at cityofconroe.org for information.
