Isaac Conroe, founder of our growing town of Conroe will be remembered on Conroe Founder’s Day this Wednesday, August 2 at 5:30pm at the original homestead, 202 Ave. A (now the Transportation Department in Conroe). At the event an individual will be awarded Citizen of the Year by committee member De’Andre Guin, City of Conroe Transportation Department. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend.

The First Friday Sip and Shop in Downtown Conroe is Friday, August 4 starting at 5:00pm all along the venues on Main Street with live music, stores open late, vendors, food, merchant special buys, and the opportunity to win prizes! Admission is free throughout the streets of downtown Conroe!
Saturday, August 5at 1:00pm is the final Pioneer Adventure Saturday at the Heritage Museum of Montgomery County. District Ranger Roesner will be at the museum with Smokey Bear to talk about the Sam Houston National Forest, our local forest of 163,000 acres! Sign up for Fall activities with the City of Conroe are underway for youth and adults. Teams are underway for youth soccer, flag football, volleyball, dance, and gymnastics. Adults can get social while staying fit with 4v4 Mens basketball 4v4 coed volleyball.
