Week 2 of
The Little Mermaid Musical
continues Friday, Saturday, and Sunday through July 23 at the Crighton Theatre entertaining audiences of all ages. This production is expected to sell out. Get your tickets now at CrightonTheatre.org.

Saturday, July 15 is the first
Flick N Float
with the City of Conroe at the Oscar Johnson, Jr. Community Center Pool. Gates open at 7pm and “Toy Story” will begin at 7:30pm. Admission is $5 with root beer floats. All Children must be accompanied by an adult.

The first
Mother Son Date Night
Luau is Friday, July 21 for moms with their sons 4-12 years of age at the Conroe Water Park 7pm-9pm. Registration is $25 per couple and $10 for each additional child. The event includes swimming, a photo booth, games, and pizza. Call (936) 522-3900 for reservations.

The
Conroe Founder’s Day
is coming up Wednesday, August 2 at 5:30 pm at the original Isaac Conroe home, now the City of Conroe Transportation Department, located at 202 Ave. A in Conroe.

Isaac Conroe, founding father of Conroe, built this house, a sawmill and brought a railroad stop to the area now known as Downtown Conroe. He passed away on Aug. 2, 1897. The house is located at 202 Avenue A and now serves as the City of Conroe’s Transit Department offices.

The committee for the event is hosting an Isaac Conroe Citizen of the Year Award. Nominate your Conroe resident that has contributed their time, efforts, and or resources to help make Conroe a better place by submitting your candidate on the form located on the site by July 24.

A new nonprofit,
Honor Up,
serves veterans in need by moving into action. Chris Sadler of the veteran-themed Honor Cafe is the inspiration for the nonprofit as he witnesses many Veterans in need at his restaurant. The first event is for Brodie Bell, the son of SFC Michael Bell, 2-time combat veteran, US Army Recruiter at the Conroe Recruiting Station. At the age of 3 Brodie was diagnosed with a rare form of Muscular Dystrophy, called Duchenne. Join the family Saturday July 15, from 5pm-9pm at
Honor Cafe
to raise money to offset costs of handicap accessible features and to purchase an electric wheelchair with stand assist to allow Brodie independence as a 16 year old. Purchase tickets at
