Rotarians have been proud to partner with the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Bank. Rotarians know that blood donations save live.

Deanna Voitle with the Rotary Club of Lake Conroe told me, “It was a successful blood drive at Margaritaville Lake Resort Lake Conroe in partnership with 5 O’clock Phlock Parrot Head Club and Rotary Club Of Lake Conroe with the fabulous medical pros – great ladies! – on the coach from Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center. SO many people to thank – Tom Faust of Margaritaville Lake Resort Lake Conroe who works with us each year; the great staff of Landshark Bar & Grill – Lake Conroe who checked on us all day. Thank you to Kris McBride who organizes the event; Richard Beck who is invaluable; Sherry Bogus & all the volunteers from RCLC; Marie & Dave Underdown who are in both clubs; Donna Bolton. And of course most importantly the 19 generous donors who saved as many as 48 lives by giving an hour of their time – THAT’S a win by any measure. What a wonderful way to give back, work with the community and help save lives!!!”

The Rotary Club of The Woodlands hosts quarterly Blood Drives with the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center. Through regular blood drives and ongoing commitment, Rotarians have contributed approximately 2,000 donations, with each pint potentially saving up to three lives. The club continues to host quarterly “Give Blood, Save a Life” events, ensuring community members have opportunities to donate and make a meaningful impact.

For those unable to attend the official drives, donations can still be made at any Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center location using the club’s code (4354G902), allowing every contribution to count toward The Rotary Club’s legacy of service.

As The Rotary Club of The Woodlands celebrated its 50th Anniversary in 2025, it proudly marks another milestone — 250 gallons of blood donated to Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center.

The Rotary Club of Conroe has been hosting blood drives on a quarterly basis with the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Bank up thru the pandemic. Rotarians in conjunction with Wiesner Automotive Group contributed a sizable legacy of lives saved.

This year marks fifty years that the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center has been in operation serving our Gulf Coast Community. Although the Blood Center has donation locations in The Woodlands and Conroe, they also have a “blood coach” to visit Rotarians at their meetings and at locations like Margaritaville. Rotarians realize that working together enhances our Community. It is not just about Rotary. It is about working within the Community to make our Community better.
