Rotary was started by businessmen and has evolved to include women in this organization of business leaders. Collectively Rotarians have a lot of business clout and volunteerism.
We recognize those who serve in our communities and uplift our business community. While Conroe, The Woodlands and West Montgomery County have flourished, the residents of East Montgomery County have remained behind that growth curve until recently.
Rotary Club of East Montgomery County hosted Frank McCrady as their speaker. Frank McCrady is the President and CEO of the East Montgomery County Improvement District (EMCID). With more than 30 years of experience in economic development and banking, McCrady has spent 24 years at the helm of EMCID, strategically transforming the area into a thriving community primed for growth.
Under McCrady’s leadership, economic development in East Montgomery County has flourished. Sales tax revenue for the 158-square-mile improvement district has seen an astonishing 780% increase, rising from $2.5 million in 2002 to an impressive $22 million in 2024. Even during the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, McCrady successfully spearheaded economic initiatives and incentives that continued to propel business and commercial growth.
During his address to the Rotary Club, McCrady provided valuable insights into upcoming developments in the region. He highlighted ongoing retail and entertainment projects expected to bring further financial success to the community. These projects aim to enhance commercial opportunities and promise job creation, expanded services, and increased funding for community grants and scholarships for local youth.
To show their appreciation for McCrady’s contributions and commitment to East Montgomery County’s growth, the Rotary Club will donate an elementary book to a local school in his honor. This gesture underscores the community’s dedication to education and recognition of economic development’s vital role in shaping a brighter future for local students.
As East Montgomery County continues to grow and evolve, McCrady’s leadership remains a driving force behind the region’s success. His commitment to fostering economic prosperity ensures the community thrives for years.
