While attending the recent Patriotic concert of the Conroe Symphony Orchestra, Anita Stevens, Rebel Joan Of Arc Veterans’ Committee member, visited with her friends, Major General Steve Hummer, USMC Retired and his wife Sheri, Capt. Sheri Hummer, USMC Retired. “Our paths frequently cross at community events but I usually don’t have the opportunity to say hello,” Anita said. This time, she seized the moment for a brief visit and a great photo. Anita interviewed the Hummers in 2018 when they were the subjects of the feature story, “Service Before Self,” in a local magazine publication.
