The Rebel Joan Of Arc 2721 Chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy gathered at the Montgomery County Main Library Genealogy Room, in Conroe, Texas.
RJOA PRESIDENT JENNY LEHR and RJOA CHAIRMAN OF “SOUTHERN LITERATURE AND ARTS”: LYN HOWARD, each stood flanking Genealogy Room Director: Laura Politte, for the RJOA Chapter large check donation to the Genealogy Room. RJOA has always been large supporters of the Montgomery County Main Library Genealogy Room in Conroe, and was so pleased to do so again. RJOA ELAINE COLLINGS also presented the Director a collected list of suggested “Southern Literature and Arts” Reading Materials, which was very graciously received.
The Rebel Joan Of Arc Monthly Newsletter continues to promote the upcoming programs at the Genealogy Room, and they are announced monthly in all RJOA Newsletters for their members to attend.
Many lovely changes and plans are in the works, Director Politte announced.
The arrangement in the far end of the Genealogy Room shows just some of the various Organizational Charters receiving even more attention and prominence for easy viewing. The Rebel Joan Of Arc Formally Framed Charter was gifted to the Genealogy Room in 2017 for display, and the entire Chapter attended for that very special Presentation. The Rebel Joan Of Arc 2721 Charter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy can be admired at the right hand side of the back wall, Framed in Black, Silver/Gold, and deep RED, representing the blood of their ancestors. As new Genealogy Lineage Groups Organize and Charter, there is still room left for growth on the additional side wall, Director Laura Politte declared. What magnificent work and diligence all these Charters represent, and the dedication of their members who represent those organizations of their heritage. To “Prove” your Heritage eligible for any of these Lineage Groups, make you a member of a very elite society.
There are two Rebel Joan Of Arc Charter Members in this photo, LYN HOWARD, and ELAINE COLLINGS, who served their Chapter as Charter Officers, and continue to do so. In this photo, “eight” of these ladies attending – are, or have been – Chapter Officers. Several others also serve their Chapter as Committee Chairmen.
The Rebel Joan Of Arc Chapter were proud to have attending this day, one of their Prospective Members: DEBBIE AIELLO, who is awaiting her Application to be Approved by the United Daughters of the Confederacy in Richmond, Virginia. Her Sponsors: ANITA STEVENS and ELAINE COLLINGS are pleased to recommend and support her. Also in attendance was Newley Voted: Honorary Associate Member, DARLA SHARER, who also was Sponsored by ANITA STEVENS and ELAINE COLLINGS. To “Sponsor a Prospective Member for the Rebel Joan Of Arc” comes with expectations and commitments of the Sponsors for their Candidate. Not only is it an honor for the Sponsors, but a real “Labor of Love and Devotion” for her Candidate.
Rebel Joan Of Arc Chapter Members happily volunteer their time, talents, and contributions to their RJOA Chapter, and support their Montgomery County Communities in “Southern Literature and the Arts”…
We appreciate ALL in Attendance for this very Special Presentation!
