A collection of townhomes are expected to be among the last neighborhoods built in a 3,000-acre community in Montgomery.

Highland Homes, Texas-based home builders, announced in a Sept. 12 release 86 townhomes would be coming in late fall to the master-planned Woodforest community off Fish Creek Thoroughfare.

The homes will be priced starting at $400,000.

Woodforest is located roughly five miles north of The Woodlands and six miles south of Lake Conroe, according to its website. The community broke ground in 2007 and has seen growth since, the website states.

Woodforest has about 12,000 residents. Homes in the community range from $300,000 to $1 million, including homes in Bonterra at Woodforest, a 55-plus, active-adult neighborhood, the Highland Homes release states.

Virgil Yoakum, senior vice president and general manager of the community, said he’s excited for the new townhomes being built.

“With a mix of townhomes in three-, four- and five-home configurations, it’s going to create a more urban streetscape within our community,” Yoakum said in the release.

“These homes have beautiful modern exteriors that open into thoughtfully planned spaces that are extremely livable,” said John DePasquale, vice president of sales for Highland Homes Houston. “Every square foot is maximized to deliver incredible functionality. These homes meet the high expectations of today’s buyer.”
