Mary Jeanette Bartram McCormick
After many health struggles, Mary Jeanette Bartram McCormick
passed away on May 9, 2025 at the age of 85.
She was born on December 14, 1939 in Little Rock, Arkansas and was the
daughter of John Lucas Bartram and Mary Elsie Orr. She attended high school in Detroit,
Michigan. Her preceding employer was
Continental Airlines in Houston, Texas.
Mary lived in Texas, Utah, Louisiana, Michigan, Arkansas and
California for numerous years. She
enjoyed all types of music and movies.
Oil painting was her finest talent.
She excelled in gardening and decorating. She played the violin and piano in high
school. In her younger years, Mary and
her husband, AW McCormick, Jr., enjoyed dancing the popular BOP dance from the
1950’s.
Mary is survived by her sister, Sarah Bartram James and
husband Paul A. James, her grandsons Dace C. McCormick, Richard McCormick, Jr.,
and Matthew Christopher Vela, and her granddaughters Amanda Marye McCormick,
Marissa Fay Fletcher, Christina Maria Williams, and Hope Megan Holditch. Mary is survived by several great
grandchildren including but not limited to great grandsons Cameron Bradley
McCormick, Blake Robb, Tanner Whittington and great granddaughter Cara Robb.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, AW
McCormick, Jr., her children Richard Dale McCormick, Ronald Atwell McCormick,
Deborah Gay McCormick Weatherly and Shelly Renee McCormick.
Mary will rest in peace with her late husband, AW McCormick,
Jr., at the Houston National Cemetery in Houston, Texas.
