According to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office ,53-year-old Keith Matthews of Magnolia, was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
MAGNOLIA, Texas — A Montgomery County man accused of shooting a utility worker in Magnolia is now charged, according to the sheriff’s office.
Keith Matthews, 53, of Magnolia is accused of shooting the 19-year-old utility worker multiple times Tuesday afternoon on Rustic Lane just south of FM 1488. Investigators say the shooting happened when a dispute between the two escalated. At this point, we don’t know what that dispute was about.
In an update Wednesday morning, officials with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office said that the utility worker was at a local hospital in critical but stable condition.Â
Matthews was taken to the Montgomery County Jail, where he’s being held on a $200,000 bond.
