A Magnolia man is dead after an encounter with his neighbor led to a shooting, authorities say.
Around 11:30 a.m. Thursday the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office arrived at the 40000 block of Goldeneye Place in the Audubon subdivision of Magnolia where a neighbor allegedly shot the man, according to a release from the sheriff’s office. The man was pronounced dead on scene.Â

The neighbor told authorities that the man suffered from mental health issues and approached the homeowner in his front yard, the release states.Â
Residents who live the 40000 block of Goldeneye Place in the subdivision will not have access to their homes for several hours due to the ongoing sheriff’s investigation, authorities said.
Homeowners with children who ride school buses are asked to meet buses at Bay Warbler Way in North Herron Heights. Â
