Let’s go cruising! That was the topic of the last meeting of Lake Conroe Centennial Lions Club as we are holding our first Lions Cruisin’ 2023 Car Show on Saturday,  Oct. 21 at Walden Yacht Club, 13101 Melville, Drive, Montgomery, TX  77356
This fun event will be held 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. with the award ceremony happening from 1 to 2 p.m. Many cars, along with their owners, will be vying for trophies in sseveral different categories including Best in Show-Car and Truck and the People’s Choice Award. Â Pre- Registration is $25 per car ($30 at gate). Â Registration deadline is Oct. 15. Â Contact Jan Jessen at janalessdesigns@gmail.com. This event is free and open to the public.
Lake Conroe Centennial Lions Club meets at the Walden Yacht Club every other Thursday evening a 6 pm.
We support our area and community in so many ways. Â For example, we send children that are challenged to the Texas Lions Camp. Â We also recycle eyeglasses, do vision care, help with the Montgomery County Food Bank and many other funds and fundraisers.Â
Along with our Cruisin’ Lions Car Show fundraiser, the following Saturday, Oct. 26, will be another Lions fundraiser, a Chili Cook-Off.  This event is sponsored by two Lions Clubs: the Lake Conroe Centennial Lions Club and the Montgomery Lions Club. Â
This fundraiser will also be held at Walden Yacht Club with all the money raised going back into the community. Â
