This is the second week of “Little Shop of Horrors” at the Owen Theatre. Seymour and his loving plant “Audrey II” make a mess of things in the comedy about the carnivore eating plant that thrives on blood beginning on May 9-25. Tickets are available at OwenTheatre.com.
Events coming up this week is the phenomenal Cody Joe Hodges (Army Veteran) taking the stage Wednesday, May 14 at the Table at Madeley starting at 7:00pm. Influenced by legends including George Strait, Merle Haggard, and Waylon Jennings, Cody Joe blends classic country sounds with a fresh, modern twist. His high-energy performances and signature voice—ranging from silky smooth to raspy and raw—connect with country fans of all generations. Cody Joe’s journey is as inspiring as his music.
Across Davis Street, also on Madeley Road, is Lucy Blue’s, a unique sports bar/ speakeasy with Karaoke Night on Thursdays! Join the fun!
And for the kid in you (or bring the kids) to the Monster Truck Wars on Saturday, May 17 at the Lone Star Expo Center. Two shows at noon and 6:00pm with a Pit Party before each showing. Times and fees can be found at https://www.monstertrucks.fun.
Lastly, summer is just a thought away and the Montgomery County Memorial Library System has FREE programs for children, teens, and adults from June 2 through July 26 with a reading challenge component.
