The First Thursday Concert is Thursday, May 8 at Heritage Place Park with Barefoot Nation (Kenny Chesney Tribute) beginning at 7:00pm. Food trucks will be onsite, however both food and beverages may be brought in (no glass bottles). Free! 

Also on Thursday, May 8th is the Conroe Senior Expo from 10am-1:00pm at the Lone Star Convention Center. Free admission, free health screening, prize giveaways every hour, and information specifically for seniors from experts on home health care, aging in place, Medicare, Assistant Living, Independent Living, Veterans benefits, and other information. 

Get ready for 3-weekends of “Little Shop of Horrors” at the Owen Theatre. Seymour and his loving plant
“Audrey II” make a mess of things in the comedy about the carnivore eating plant that thrives on blood beginning May
9-25. Tickets are available at OwenTheatre.com. 

Don’t forget! The Conroe Art League take-in of art pieces to be eligible for the Student Awards Show will be
on Friday, May 9th, from 1p.m. to 5p.m. Artwork must be delivered with completed registration downloaded at

Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 11. I would suggest you make reservations anywhere you would like to go. This is the busiest day for restaurants. Margaritaville Lake Resort will have their annual Mother’s Day Brunch overlooking Lake Conroe from 10:00am-2:00pm in the Del Lago Ballroom. (877) 286-9590. 

The Red Brick Tavern will host their Gospel Sunday Brunch starting at 11:30am with a special menu for Mother’s Day. Listen to the music of the Jim Sloan band while you eat. No cover to come in and listen.
